I provide empathic and experienced therapy for adults, teens, couples and families, with more than 20 years of experience as a teacher and clinician. I offer a goal oriented approach to counseling based on building a collaborative relationship with each of my clients; accepting their need for comfort, understanding, and guidance, while challenging and encouraging growth and independence. I use a caring, loving and thought-provoking approach to my sessions, emphasizing an open, accepting, and non-judgmental awareness of self. I use a variety of techniques and frequently employ various approaches during sessions.
I was born and raised in Brazil and have Italian ancestry. I immigrated to the United States in 1992 and obtained my Masters in Counseling Psychology and Drug and Alcohol Abuse Study and Counseling. I am a Registered Addiction Specialist and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
