I am a licensed clinical psychologist in California and am dedicated to providing treatment and assessment services to children and their families presenting with various difficulties (i.e., ADHD, autism, behavioral difficulties, anxiety, and depression). I am passionate about helping children navigate their chaotic worlds and assisting them in becoming successful adults. I believe that in order to truly help a child, one must first start with the family, as they are the ones that influence and guide a child’s development. Therefore, along with providing individual therapy, I will also work with the family to provide tools in assisting the child’s treatment. My specialization is in working with children and adolescents with autism, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. I have extensive experience assisting these children in developing positive social skills, anger management techniques, and positive coping skills related to anger and anxiety, utilizing a cognitive behavioral approach. Further, I am a PEERS certified facilitator, a group social skills program for children and adolescents with autism. In addition to therapeutic services, I provide comprehensive assessments for children and adolescents. I have extensive training in administering psychological, psychoeducational, and neurodevelopmental evaluations. I am ADOS-2 and ADI-R certified, both gold standards in autism assessment.
I received my bachelors of arts in psychology and crime, law, and justice from The Pennsylvania State University. I received my masters and doctoral degrees from Nova Southeastern University’s College of Psychological Studies. I completed my internship training at The Guidance Center in Long Beach, CA, a community mental health agency for children and their families, where I focused on providing individual, group, and family therapy and conducted comprehensive psychological assessments. Upon my internship, I completed a one year postdoctoral fellowship, with an emphasis on autism, at The Help Group in Sherman Oaks, CA, a non-profit agency dedicated to serving children with special needs related to autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, emotional problems, developmental delays, and learning disorders. As a fellow, I provided therapeutic services to students with autism, created and led social skills groups, and conducted neurodevelopmental assessments.
